Understanding Your Investment
Cévine curates both Raw and Virgin hair to offer the highest tier of flexibility. Because these two types behave differently, it is vital to understand their distinct characteristics.
Raw — The Purest State
100% completely unaltered, unprocessed and un-steamed hair collected directly from a single donor. Because it is never steam-treated into uniform patterns, Raw hair comes in natural straight, wavy or curly textures only. No two bundles are identical; slight variations in wave pattern and natural brown/black tone are not a defect — they are the ultimate proof of organic purity. It behaves exactly like your own hair and can lift to the highest blonde shades when processed professionally.
Virgin — The Structured Luxury
High-quality human hair that has not been chemically processed or dyed, but has undergone advanced steam processing to achieve perfectly uniform curl or wave patterns. Virgin hair offers absolute consistency: purchase multiple bundles and the pattern will match perfectly across all items. Because it holds a specific structural pattern, it requires diligent hydration and care to maintain the longevity of that uniform texture.

Because Cévine Raw bundles are single-donor and completely un-steamed, we cannot guarantee identical pattern matching between separate raw pieces. We expertly hand-match your order prior to dispatch to ensure the closest possible blend for your installation.
The Five Rituals.
Inspect before altering. We suggest examining your bundles, wigs, frontals or closures thoroughly before installation or chemical processing.
The pre-wash. Co-wash the hair — with a high-quality moisturising conditioner only — in lukewarm water before your first install. Always wash in a downward motion; avoid rubbing or bunching the hair together.
Air dry only. Laying the hair flat or hanging it to air dry completely helps protect the weft structural integrity before installation.
Detangling. Detangle gently, starting at the tips and working up to the roots or wefts. A wide-tooth comb or a dedicated paddle brush works best.
Heat styling. Cévine raw hair handles heat beautifully, but a lightweight heat protectant before flat irons or curling wands helps protect its long-term quality. Keeping temperatures under 220°C prevents thermal stress to the raw structure.
Product selection. Avoid heavy oils, grease, or products high in alcohol, sulphates or parabens — these weigh the hair down and cause unnecessary tangling. Opt for lightweight, salon-grade hydrating serums instead.
Protection. Ensuring the hair is completely dry before sleeping prevents matting.
Friction reduction. Wrapping the hair in a secure silk or satin scarf, wearing a bonnet, or using a silk pillowcase preserves the hair's natural moisture balance and reduces friction.
Securing long textures. For wavy or curly textures, 2–4 loose braids or twists before bed preserve the pattern and make morning detangling effortless.
Colouring & bleaching. Because our hair is completely raw and unaltered, it can be bleached to high blonde lifting points and dyed flawlessly. However, chemical processing changes the structural bonds of any human hair.
Professional requirement. We highly advise that all chemical alterations, custom bleaching and colouring be performed by a licensed, professional hair colourist.
Cévine is not responsible for changes to the hair's texture, integrity or lifespan resulting from improper home-dyeing, over-bleaching, chemical burning or poor maintenance post-purchase. Chemical processing or cutting performed by an unauthorised third party completely voids our manufacturing fault policy.
Cleanse first. Washing and deep conditioning the units thoroughly before storing them away ensures they stay fresh.
